Loop 001 took a year and half and over 1000 hours to create. The original work consists of millions of individual dots ranging in size from 3 to .01 millimeters. My intention was to use the logic of a data visualization to make an internal portrait of my entire life. Each ring represents a recognizable period from birth to 31 years old. Each dot represents a single moment, one bit of sensory data. The work deals in binary while attempting to embody the richness of a life over time.
